The 2024 EUFMC educational program -- Driving Safety, Sustainability & Technical Expertise – will focus on finding solutions to fleet management challenges. A range of topics are being planned for presentations by fleet executives, manufacturers and industry experts.

The EUFMC Board of Directors develops the conference General Session educational program based on surveys and input from attendees. The conference educational program is designed to address the informational needs of new as well as experienced fleet professionals.
Mathias Carlbaum, President and Chief Executive Officer of Navistar, Inc. will be the keynote speaker during the 2024 EUFMC. Carlbaum will share his extensive 25-year industry experience, covering his leadership role at Navistar, his membership on the TRATON SE Executive Board, and his time at Scania AB in Sweden, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America.
Having been Navistar CEO since the company merged with the TRATON GROUP in 2021, Carlbaum has led the cultural integration of the organization while helping the company gain market share in North America and increase profitability substantially.
Addressing breakdowns in fleet safety processes and procedures, and driving safety improvements through accountability and effective approaches to leadership, will be the focus of a presentation at the 2024 EUFMC by Eric Kapitulik, founder of The Program, a provider of leadership development and team building services.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Kapitulik served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years as an Infantry Officer and a Special Operations Officer. After earning an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, he founded The Program, a team of professionals that teaches organizations how to develop world-class leaders and teams.
The environment at EUFMC was more professional than most organizations and the staff was more than willing to accommodate attendees with any information or assistance. I found the events to be excellent, highly disciplined, and orderly, classes and discussions provided very important refreshers for me, the motivational speaker was by far the most superior I’ve had the pleasure of hearing, the entertainment was very well coordinated, and the meals were exquisite. I also reconnected with attendees that I had not seen or spoken to in many years. This event did not disappoint.

EUFMC is an annual event with a unique atmosphere and an educational format that allows utility fleet professionals to view the latest fleet products and technology, attend sessions on the most pertinent topics of fleet management, while also providing roundtable discussions on those topics and encouraging the attendees to network with their industry peers and the manufacturer/vendor community.
